ST DAVID’S, CARDIFF
Shelley Sandzer are instructed by Land Securities and INTU Properties Plc to act on the rent reviews on the food and beverage units at Cardiff’s, St David’s Centre. The centre is recognised as one of the top shopping destinations in the UK. Phase 2 of the centre was completed as recently as 2009 at a cost of £675 million. It provides a two tier restaurant and cafe quarter, occupied by a number of convenience and casual dining restaurants. Shelley Sandzer’s instructions extend to The Central Library, which the leasing team initially let on behalf of the Landlords in 2008-2009. Duncan Lillie Head of Professional Services says, “This appointment reflects the trend for centre owners to appoint specialist advisors as we will be working alongside retail rent review specialists. This recognises the importance of food and beverage within a retail environment”.
